HI 981400 is an indicator designed to check the pH of foodstuffs. pH is monitored at different stages of food preparation and processing to guarantee safety, improve production and enhance quality. The pH of raw ingredients such as milk and meat is measured to ensure that standards have been properly met. Along with temperature and water activity, pH also affects the shelf-life of foodstuffs.
